The key is ROM version 1.5 or greater, I believe. The GALs do not
really matter, but the earlier ones may be preferable for a slight edge
in speed when upgrading (they have less speed traps so at a given
Mhz they run faster).

I agree. It would be great if Alltech had the designs to the cards and
manufactured them again.
The cards are more valuable than the IIGS itself.
