     Sounds like a nice system.

     An "unexpected error" message does not seem very helpful. Like, if it said
"missing driver", "sound hardware config error", etc. you'd have something to
chew on. Besides, it's a little discouraging to think that the other errors are
"expected".

     One thing to check is that the mic is working correctly. You could try
recording a sound file of speech using some other piece of software.

     Someone here may have some direct experience and/or other ideas for fixes.
However, this is an Apple II (not Mac or PC) newsgroup. You are more likely to
get expert help on a Mac newsgroup such as comp.sys.mac.system .
