You may be having a problem with chip parity. Some of the older dram chips
required parity chips to balance things out. If it's in the range of 64k this
may be the problem. Timing may also be a problem probably the old 150ns chips
are ok.
One other thought. Most drivers for ramdisks don't use ALL memory. Some is
required for the interrupt vectors which must be available in all banks. This
happens on my //c Zram card also. Never thought much about it.
