Beyond Castle Wolfenstein >>> ControLs?
I hope posting a message about an Apple2 game here is okay with
everyone...
This message for Beyond Castle Wolfenstein experts...
I am finding that "Beyond Castle Wolfenstien" is a great game. Pound
for pound [140k disk image] it's gotta be up there with the best. I
remember playing it on the Apple2+ back in the day. Now I have a IIGS
which can run the game.
I have been playing the game and getting pretty far, but I don't think
I have all the controls mastered. I know how to move, stop, aim,
shoot, open unlocked closets, flash passes, put the gun away, search
slain guards, drag slain guards, and call up my inventory list.
I even figured out how to patch myself up with a first aid kit I
appropriated by blowing open a locked closet with the gun.
I understand the concepts of the passes, the elevators, and the alarm
system.
What I don't know is about the following:
[I have tried various experiments in keystrokes but can't figure these
out...]
***Keys: you find them in closets sometimes and you can get them, but
what are they for/how do you use them?
***Money: Constantly picking up money. I believe it must get used to
bribe guards???
***Locked Closets: I found out that if you can find enough bullets
[sometimes it takes a lot], you can blow open locked closets with the
gun. It's where the real goodies and even secret passages are found.
[But some locked closets obviously contain some form of explosive
which I have yet to get, as shooting at these closets causes a fatal
explosion!!!] Because of the number of bullets you have to use to
shoot open the locked closets and because some closets contain
explosives, I reason that the HAS to be a gentler way of opening the
locks...??? [ToolKit or keys somehow?]
***Toolkit: ???
***Dagger: This item looks useful, but how does it work? What
keystroke[s]?
Thanks!
Everywhere you look, it's all Science...
