Your mileage may vary of course. I seldom to never look at computer stuff
there. As I mentioned before, I only look for laserdiscs there, and only
those impossible to find otherwise. It's an absolute last resort. And in
that area, preposterous claims about rarity are the norm. It's just a
ploy to get ignorant/trusting people to bid too much. I think plenty of
people are flat dishonest there. One should only try to get stuff there
if they know what stuff is worth and how hard it is to come by.
A good example is a guy I know who works in a computer store. The guy who
runs the place sells Mac stuff on epay and my buddy says he gets employees
to bid on his stuff to get the amounts up. That's flat out crooked.

: Ah, capitalism! :-)
Auctions have ruined the forsale groups online. People clog the groups with
"see my auction" posts and no one sells through the groups the old fashioned
way. That really bites in my opinion hence I don't patronize them. I'll pay
more than something might go for in an auction for the privilege of taking
it home with me instead of waiting a week to see if I might get it. Or wait
a week to find that I had the high bid but got bushwhacked with two minutes
to go.
