Which version of the UDC card do you have?  If you have the one with
two ribbon cables, there are two ways to put two drives on the card.  One
is to daisychain both off the same cable.  The second is to put one drive
on each cable.  You might try both methods and see if one does not have
the eject button zapping effect.
