I have two different UDC cards, however the one I prefer has two
ribbon cables. I've tried hooking them up separately and daisychaining
them with no luck getting the drive two eject button to work. Using a
drive with a mechanical eject would be one way to go but I have a
personal problem with their appearance. The best solution would be if
I could find another superdrive card.
Reminds me, I keep hearing the superdrive card doesn't work with the
II+. I did try one in a II+ and the only thing one might consider a
problem is that it won't auto-boot . You'd have to do a PR#x or similar.
However since there's usually a 5.25 in a higher slot that's generally not
important. Is there a problem I might have missed in trying out the card?
