Error $0027 on IIgs?

Hi, I'm having some problems with my IIgs.  I've created a system disk
using the system 6.0.1 install disk and others available from the Apple
FTP site.  When the machien is booted from the new system disk, if
appears to start okay, says loading system 6.0.1 or somesuch and has a
little bar.  When the bar is full, I get a error screen saying I've got
a $0027 error, do I wand to restart or return.  I've tried different
disks and different drives, an a different ram card with varying amounts
of memory (This resulted in a 0201 error... Low mem).  Can anyone help
me out here?  I saw in one of the FAQs that $27 is an I/O error... is it
the same error?  TIA
