Hi, I think Randy has provided you with the answer to making GSHK
self-extractable...ProTYPE.  Note, once you have GSHK working,
you can dispense with ProTYPE since GSHK can handle resource
forks and even $00 files that are actually .shk files.

My suggestion is with your intention of using null modem even though
you have a Zip drive on your IIGS.  DON'T DO IT!

You can take the whole night to transfer by null modem 100MB at
56k, but why bother?  The IIGS can read and write MS-DOS FAT
formatted Zip disks using the MUG! desk accessory.  That's like
>1000x faster!  Use Zip disks to do the transfers and save yourself
a lot of anguish.
