First point, this is not a Mac newsgroup. You want to search for a
group with mac or macintosh in the name. An apple2 group means the group
is about Apple// machines (they preceeded the Mac by a number of years).
Next point, PC exchange *should* be able to read DOS formatted
floppies. I don't know if this means if it can read DOS formatted Zip
disks or not. If not then PC exchange needs an update.
Finally, the difference between the DOS and Windows format is the way
the files are stored. DOS has the 8.3 format for filenames where Windows
follows the UNIX convention of having 256 character filenames. There are
other differences but they are topics for discussion in a PC or Windows
related group.
