Okay; but, you are talking about being able to _display_ upper/lower case.
We did a char gen ROM swap-in fairly early-- it was done when we found a game
with messages which included lower case (Dark Forest).
The mod to the $F8 ROM ($F800-$FFFF) code is to get rid of a few
instructions which force letter char inputs to be upper case. This permits the
II+ to accept lower case letters as inputs without having to load in any special
program code. For example, you can enter a program line like ...
200 PRINT "Elder Brother Wu greets you with a smile."
Naturally, you want to add the capability to display lower case before doing the
mod to accept lower case inputs from a keyboard.
