Actually, the access policy to the file archives on Delphi is dictated by
Delphi management and not the managers of the A2 and A2pro forums. So,
this isn't even an issue anyone who is a paying member on Delphi has any
control over.
The Delphi policy is no different than what Genie has had for years (and
still does to this day). So, your grievance could be targeted just as
equally at Genie as well.
Remember, even though Delphi has turned itself into a web based service,
its roots are as a proprietary network (like Genie, AOL, Compuserve,
etc.). Because of this, the policy restricting access to the archives
should not come as a surprise.
