As far as I know there was only ever a self-playing demo of Sword of
Sodan available for download.
There are/were a few people who had beta copies of the finished game
but they can't release it because of the non-disclosure agreement they
signed when they became beta testers.
If there is a playable demo, it might be a hacked version of the
self-playing demo that some enterprising person may have created but I
really don't think this is the case.
