The ProSel Y2K patches were published in the TEXAS II newsletter issue v7.4,
September 1998, and in issue v7.5, October 1998. If you're a subscriber, you've
got them. My work is copyrighted and is not PD. It took me a fair amont of work
to find them, and I appreciate the support of all the people who think well
enough of me to respect my work.
TEXAS II subscribers have been happily and successfully using these Y2K fixes
with their ProSel 8 and 16 ever since that time. They were talked about here,
and they have been talked about on my Web site at http://members.aol.com/A2MG
for the past 4 months. I currently have my ProSel page taken down until the
dust settles here.
When ProSel became PD, we obtained the capability to actually include the
finished files, patched and updated, in a new release. That is available now,
too. The information was in the original official announcement which was posted
over a week ago in the Apple II Mail Group. We told you about this on this
board, we invited you to join, and if you did, you got it.
When I asked ProSel's manager about uploads, he said "There will be no
uploads." I take that to mean that there will be no uploads by ProSel's
official representatives. I respect that, so there will be no uploads by me,
either.
We made a mistake informing this board of the release. In the Apple II Mail
Group, it was a happy thing. People were delighted; they sent thank you notes
to Chuck and Glen.
The reaction on this board was one of greed and attacks on me. (As for Turley,
he made a mistake. Get off his case and let's move forawrd.)
