There could be a problem with Horizontal synchronization-- i.e. during the
starting (top) part of the display, the display has not quite 'locked in'. The
main source of the problem may be that video output from the Apple II is too
low or too high. If your monitor has a Video Input Level adjustment, try
changing it. Or, if your Apple II is a II or II+, try adjusting the Video
Output mini-pot on the motherboard near the Video Output socket.
Otherwise, the most direct adjustment try is Horizontal Hold. However,
especially on older monitors, several adjustments interact and this interaction
is more noticable at the beginning of each display frame. So, Intensity,
Contrast, ... adjustments are all likely to affect the horizontal starting
point of your display.
