The WordPerfect for the Apple IIgs file format is roughly compatible with
WordPerfect DOS 4.2. However, all DOS 4.2 files may not import properly into
WPGS -- WPGS did not include all of the 4.2 feature set.  WPGS files can be
imported into WP Mac, WP DOS, WP Windows or any other version with a 4.2 import
feature. WPGS files may import as 5.1 files as well, but I cannot verify this
from personal experience.   When I was in college, I transferred files back and
forth between WP Mac and WPGS daily.  One potential war-stopper to look out for
is that the files saved from WP on other platforms may not be recognized by
WPGS.  Seems like I used to change the filetypes of files brought from the Mac
to the WPGS format on a regular basis, using File Manager or another NDA.
