I'm not sure what would be needed to be modified in the IIgs version, but
I think that all it does is pass a version number and signature to the
server when it logs on. However, I don't know if this was even present in
the older versions, it may just check for the lack of it. I tried to log
on with a really old version of Mac AOL and it wouldn't let me once, and
after digging around, I still couldn't find what it was looking for...if
it's modifying a value, that would be easy (relatively) compared to having
to insert the proper code to make it pass the check...
