The Learning Company was selling an unlimited lifetime license for its MECC
Apple II software to districts. That software was being sold off as
stock-not-to-be-replenished as of Jan. 1998. (Yes, A YEAR AGO!) No further
development on Apple II software was planned at the company after LC took over
MECC.
I've no word on their Broderbund software, except for a failed attempt to buy
The New Print Shop (I can't seem to get mine to run off of the hard drive more
than one time after loading).
