There were several revisions of the ][ board. Look into the upper left
corner. There is a handwritten number like 7904. This is the
manufacturing date, 4th week of 79.
The latest boards have some ferrite beads to suppress radio frequency
interference. You should find a few of these near the power connector.
The older versions had jumpers to select the RAM size. They look like
ic's, but have a plastic case and '4K' or '16K' written on it.
Functionally all of these boards are identical. 

Apple II and IIplus use different firmware. The Apple II runs Integer
Basic, it should have 3..4 ROM chips and two empty sockets. With
Applesoft Basic installed all six ROM positions are used.
