Re: Suggestions sought: Bulk E-mailer for a IIgs?

We tried running the Apple II Mail Group from Delphi for a while.
Unfortunately, it caused numerous bouncebacks because some of the major net
players such as Flash.net and some of the Australian servers reject all "group"
mail that originates from Delphi (read: spam). This left some of our key
players out, so we had to abandon Delphi as a source of our mail group. The Dis
list setup was pretty good, and I'd recommend it if none of your readers'
servers reject it. For help with this, ask Tony Ward or ask their customer
service department.

The same mailing lists sent from CompuServe were not rejected. However, the CIS
mailing list is limited to 50 people if the ASCII (OldMail) system is used. We
have 3 times that many recipients. The A2MG now originates from America Online,
where we have other problems, but they are not related to bulk mail, and of
course, AOL can't be run from a IIGS.
