HELP! Patched PRO.FST?
Until my system croaked on me a few months ago, I had patched versions of
BASIC.SYSTEM, P8, and PRO.FST to allow me to use less-restrictive
filenames. Very handy for backing up my palmtop, which uses some MS-DOS
filenames which are illegal under ProDOS (such as "SYS$.IMG").
Well, I dug out the patcher program (NAMEFIX) and ran it. Then I rebooted
the system, and the machine crashed.
I restored the unpatched version of Pro.FST and the system booted OK
(apparently that was the one I had trouble with...).
So...Any suggestions? Anybody know where I might find a different
filename-restriction patcher for the Pro.FST? As it is, I have two files
on one of my drives that GS/OS won't even touch 'cause it doesn't like the
filename... 8-(
