: Using the MUG! Desk Accessory. You can use it to read your
: Windows PC formatted Zip disks, VFAT and all. ;-)
: Just pop the disk into the PC, copy files using Windows 95
: or DOS from the PC hard drive onto the Zip disk, take the
: Zip disk to the IIGS, now from WITHIN AN APPLICATION
: OTHER THAN FINDER (because Finder will try to format
: the PC Zip disk) open the Zip disk with the MUG! desk
: accessory and copy the files to a ProDOS of HFS volume.
: That's all it takes.
There is an MS-DOS FST in GS/OS 6.0.1. Won't it at least recognize the
disk as a PC ZIP disk (even though it may be Win95 formatted) so that you
can then work the magic with MUG! without having to worry about GS/OS
trying to reformat the disk? The MS-DOS FST is read-only so you still
need MUG!...
(I have the MS-DOS FST installed, but I have yet to try an MS-DOS ZIP disk
on my system...and the Zip drive is the only thing I have that can handle
MS-DOS volumes. Well, I have a SuperDrive, but I don't have a controller
for it...)
