You can adapt the current IIe case for the IIGS motherboard.

First thing, desolder the power and keyboard connectors from the
IIe and solder them into the IIGS ROM 01 motherboard.  Next,
use a dremel tool to cut out openings in the IIe base pan for the
IIGS ports.  Then you are ready to attach the motherboard to the
IIe base pan.
