Find a 3.5" controller (Universal Disk Controller, PCT, or SuperDrive
controller) for the IIe and hook up an external Apple/Macintosh 3.5"
platinum drive to it. Use the DSK2FILE program to copy the 5.25"
floppies onto the 3.5" drive. Use PC Exchange on the Mac to copy
the disk images from the 3.5" ProDOS floppies to the Mac hard drive.

Yes (the emulator route, that is).
The commercial emulator "Bernie II to the Rescue" is better than
the ones on Asimov.
