Please help with the names/locations of these games
Hi all,
I am trying to locate two classic games that I played on an Apple IIe
years back - these are
really the games that got me into computers!
The first one was a dungeon-type game. The view was from overhead, with
a little character
(actually in a profile view) that you would walk around, and fight
monsters, collect treasures,
etc. The game would begin with a text "adventure shop" where you could
buy weapons and
armour etc. The main character was a little swordsman, that looked like
a fencer when he
attacked. One thing I remember clearly was the command for "turn around"
was "v"!
I think this must have been a series of games, because I also played one
that had the
same style, but much better graphics for the monster and the character.
The second game was I think called Hamurabi. I have been searching all
the archives
though, and couldn't find it, so perhaps it had a different name. It was
basically a
multiplayer text-based resources game, feed the peasants, grow the food,
etc. At the
end of each turn, you would get to see your castle (which would grow as
your land
did), and if anyone was promoted, it would play a little tune and flash
their name.
I would _really_ appreciate any help, this has been driving me crazy for
weeks!
Regards,
Chris.
