If Slot 5 is set to "Your Card" in the Control Panel, the SCSI card
should work okay. Still, this Slot is an unusual place for a SCSI board
since you lose access to the Smart Port normally employed for connecting
diskette drives.
It may be that your HD Test program expects the SCSI interface to
be in Slot 7. Or, in case you partitioned for HFS, the HD test may
expect to be checking ProDOS partitions. So, maybe your HD with two 20MB
partitions is okay.
Regarding formatting- usually, once a drive is low-level formatted
and partitioned for ProDOS or HFS, that's it. You can put stuff on the
HD and use it. You may be permitted to repartition the HD; but, I'm
pretty sure that you are not permitted to format individual partitions.
