Be careful about mouses from the Mac Plus. They are _supposedly_ the same
but not all of them will work on an Apple II (I know that from experience,
I had one that wouldn't work with a //c).

There is a timing problem with some Mac Plus mouses that results in the
cursor beginning top left and moving straight down the screen to bottom
left no matter how you actually move the mouse. There is an Apple Tech Note
that describes this phenomenon (sorry, I don't have the number off-hand).
What it says is, essentially, whether or not a Mac Plus mouse works with an
Apple II is dependent on its manufacturer.

For the record, I've found that the early Mac mouses (the beige coloured
ones from the Mac 128, 512 and the first batch of Pluses) can be expected
to work OK: later mouses from the Plus (the platinum ones) may have
problems.
