My current TWGS is pathetic. 6mz/8k. I'm considering upgrading it with
bitz from //SSH, but I would MUCH MUCH rather get a newer faster more
compatible card.
My vote:
1. Variable clock speeds, from 12 to 22, perhaps. Maybe a simple control
panel to change that.
2. Low Power Hardware, please! My IIgs overheats on a regular basis. Or
how about an adapter that connects to the leads from the power supply, and
then have the card draw NO power from the slot? Thats gotta be heatlhier.
3. As large a cache as possible. Fast ram seems to be rather cheap. Lets
place as much on the card as will make a difference.
4. An empty socket, not connected to anything, that could serve as a
storage place for my original 65C816 CPU. My original chip is long since
gone, and what if my TWGS dies?
5. A temperature sensor on the board that can pop up an alert box should
the machine get too hot, or perhaps control the internal fan.
I would pay up to $250 for that card.
