This is a message for Randy Shackelford, Dr. Tom, and
Rubywand (the current official FAQ Keeper).
Please respond via csa2, please don't respond or send to
my email. Thanks!
Randy, Dr. Tom, what do you two think of putting Shrinkit,
GS ShrinkIt, and UnforkIt on a DiskCopy image and
uploading it to the ground ftp server? Imagine how much
headache this will solve. A IIGS or IIe user with a Mac
just needs to download this disk on a Mac and use
DiskCopy to make a 3.5" disk containing all the essential
programs WHICH CAN THEN IMMEDIATELY BE USED
ON A IIGS OR IIE.
As you two know, this will once and forever end the
Nathanian roundabout fuss with bootstrapping binscii
from Basic.System.
Randy, I know you prefer ProTYPE, but don't you think
one more option is a good thing?
Dr. Tom, did you copy this file from AOL to ground
already? (Please respond via csa2, not email, thanks.)
If not, would either of you want to do it or, if not, I
can do it. It is in the "New Files and Free Uploading"
area on the Apple II Forum.
Here is the description (Randy, feel free to bobbitize
it if you want in your reply but I think it is relevant so
people understand what I'm proposing).

And to the FAQ Keeper, Rubywand (congratulations for
becomming the official FAQ Keeper, read the email from
news.answers; hey folks, Nathan is no longer the official
FAQ keeper as far as usenet is concerned), could you add
the location of this DiskCopy image to the FAQ (once it
is uploaded to ground) so that Macintosh plus Apple II
owners can better get stated using their Apple IIs?
Thank you to all three of you in advance.
