Actually, the IIGS monitor has almost everything in common
with Mac and VGA and higher derivatives EXCEPT horizontal
scan frequencies. They are all analog RGB.

A competent TV/monitor technician can easily change the
scan frequency either up or down by replacing the right
components. In fact, one of csa2's readers who was such a
technician reported some time back that he had modified a
VGA monitor to accept 15.75Khz horizontal scan frequencies
and with a Mac to VGA adapter cable, presto the IIGS image
shows up on the (former) VGA monitor.
