     Comp.sys.apple2 is an Apple II newsgroup. (The Apple II series is
different from Mac.)  A Mac newsgroup will have users who will be able
to answer your question and future Mac questions; so, this response is
being cross-posted to comp.sys.mac.system .

     Regarding the business of not getting your shutdown pic displayed,
it may be that you need to tell your system which program to use to
display jpegs. Perhaps, if you double-click on a jpeg, the system will
ask which application to use and remember it from then on. Or, you may
need to set some Association in a Desktop file.
