You need to re-jumper the card to a different output setting.
Examine the card closely, there are 6 pins that are grouped into
pairs labeled "LN", "HI", "LO" (these are: Line-Level, Amplified,
non-amplified). There should be two jumper blocks, and you must
place them so each pair matches -- e.g. LN+LN, HI+HI, LO+LO are
the *only* valid settings, do not mix them.
From what I recall, Line-Level is the only setting where you
don't pick up stray noise from inside the computer. So, to fix
your problem, simply short both jumper with the "LN" pins (that
is LN+LN).
