I think v2.0 was protected, but v2.1 or was it v2.2 was not.

It runs slow unless you had a Zip Chip on a IIe.
On Bernie, I suppose it depends on how fast your PowerMac
is. On a IIGS with a 12.5Mhz TWGS, GEOS is actually very
zippy. ;-)

You need to run it in monochrome. GEOS for the Apple II
uses monochrome double hires. For this mode, you must
switch to monochrome.
GEOS for the Commodores are color.
