GS/OS 5.25 Driver--# devices

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is any way to configure
a GS/OS 5.25 Disk Device Driver to only create one device entry.

Normally, it is impossible for the driver to tell if there is one
or two devices attached to the SmartPort or controller card.  I
wonder though, if there's any trick I can play with the aux_type
or something like that to restrict it to one device, so that I only
see one 5.25 drive in the Finder (I've got too many other disk icons
already with all the HD partitions I have).

I thought I once heard of something like this.  I've checked the 
File Type Notes for Device Drivers and that says nothing.
