Have a look at the sound chip.  It's location is labelled "Sound"
(not "Sound GLU") and is soldered on the ROM 3, but socketed
on the ROM 01.  The ROM 3 also says "ROM 3" somewhere on
the motherboard, I think.

The DEFINITE way to determine the two is to look for the
battery.  The battery is soldered to the motherboard on a ROM 01
but is in a holder on a ROM 3.
