I have in front of me the "Apple II Interface" card (820-5006-B, with
ROM 341-0271-A).  It has a ribbon cable soldered to the card going to a
female DB-25 connector.  Pin 7 on this connector is blocked.

The ribbon cable that goes to the drive (male DB-25 at both ends) has no
pin 7 in either connector.

The drive itself doesn't appear to have pin 7 blocked in any way.

I got all of this second hand, but the pin cut/block looks like it was
designed in, not added later.
