     Okay; but, suppose Alex wants to use ZLink or some other freeware
telecom program?

     With, say, ZLink, would you need to use the //c System Utils to set
the serial port? If you did, would ZLink plus your cable setup work for
NULL modem transfers to/from a PC running, say, HyperTerm (Windows95) or
Telemate (DOS)?
