Arguable? I'd say flat wrong. ProDOS 8 is the right OS to use when you
need to run 8 bit software.

BTW ProDOS is a file system while ProDOS 8 is an OS which uses that file
system.

Another way to get there is to go to the TIL, http://til.info.apple.com,
and follow the software updates link. The TIL is a searchable database
of tech stuff. TIL stands for tech info library.
