The RamPack uses 44256 (20-pin 8x1M) chips, the Apple card uses 41256
(16-pin 8x256k) chips.  Both are easily found online or by stripping
286 or 386 motherboards of their memory.  You'll do better if you buy a
used motherboard at a thrift store with a meg or two on it for a couple
bucks than spend $5 - $20 per meg elsewhere.

Stick to the same speed rating.  There's usually a hypenated number
after the chip number, which is the speed in nanoseconds divided by 10.
Go for the 10's or below, and leave the 12's and 15's behind.  :)  And
if you wind up with two different speeds, make sure you put a whole
bank (8 chips) of a given speed together instead of mixing them, and if
possible put the fastest bank(s) as the first ones(s) -- with the Apple
card, the first bank of 100ns chips is hardwired so you have no choice
should you wind up finding 24 80ns chips.

Recently filled an Apple 1M and a RamWorks III 1M (same chips) this
way.  Have found a meg of 80ns for my AE GSRAM Ultra (same chips at
the RamPack); thing is, my board has 1 bank of 70ns and three banks of
80ns -- wish I could find 3M of 70ns's or 4M of 60ns's somewhere!  :)
What was really weird was that I found most of the 41256 chips stuck in
the foam backing around a SeqSys RAMGS 4M card in its original box at
Goodwill ($5, nyhh nyhh) but that card doesn't take *either* kind of
memory unit... what they were doing there?  (So technically the package
contained over five megs of memory, four of it immediately useable!)
