SupraFAXModem 144LC & Proterm 3.0 & Apple //e - More

Hi.

I tried some of the suggestions for getting my SupraFAXModem to work with
Proterm 3.0 but to no avail.  Here is some additional info that I think may be
useful:

1.  My SupraFAXModem hardware handshaking cable is attached to a gender changer
since the SSC has the wrong jack for the cable (or the cable is wrong for the
SSC).

2.  Sometimes the modem intitializes, sometimes it doesn't - even when the
initialization string is just AT.

3.  If I try an dial from the ONLINE mode in proterm using AT codes, or simply
dialing from the dial list the modem never even goes off-hook.

4.  The suggestion to use S95=44 didn't work and my manual only mentioned
S95=0-7 as options.

5.  Sometime when the modem is turned on all the lights come on and stay on.

6.  The Supra drivers never successfully initializes the modem, the Zoom and
Generic Fixed Speed ones sometimes do.

7.  Sometime I need to reset the modem by turning it on and off to get it to
initialize, sometimes even this doesn't help.


If somebody can please help me to get my SupraFAXModem 144LC working with
Proterm 3.0 it would be very much appreciated.
