Re: Whats your GS setup like?
My GS is currently in storage until we can move to a big enough place to have
room to set it up again. It was given to me by someone at a church I used to
go to. I think it's a ROM 01, but I'm not sure. As far as I can recall, it
didn't have any cards in any of the slots, except maybe some RAM, I don't
remember. It has a 3.5 drive and I think a 5.25 drive. I downloaded the latest
version of GSOS, but it doesn't run very well from a floppy with only the one
drive. I really have no interest in going back to the "floppy shuffle." Does
anyone know if I could hook it up to my Mac with AppleTalk and have it use a
ProDOS partition on the Mac's hard drive to boot from? Or is it better to get
the GS its own hard disk and controller? Please email me with any answers
since I don't get a chance to check these boards very often.
