Re: Whats your GS setup like?

In article TWS <adoyson@nccn.net> writes...

>I've got:

As for myself, my main system consists of the following:

ROM 3 (1 MB) motherboard, with a 'Woz' signature case lid

Slot 1: Apple II Memory Expansion Card w/ 1 MB (sometimes)
Slot 2: AE Audio Animator (stereo sound in/out, MIDI)
Slot 3: ZipGS accelerator, 15 MHz/64K cache
Slot 4: ---
Slot 5: Quickie hand-scanner interface
Slot 6: Apple II 3.5 Disk Controller Card
Slot 7: RamFAST SCSI Rev D, ROM 3.01e, 1 MB cache

Mem Exp: Sequential Systems RAM GS card with 4 MB

Connected to the RamFAST is a TMS Shadow portable hardrive with
Seagate ST-3390 (330 MB) SCSI mechanism inside. This sits atop
an external SuperDrive (1.44 MB) FDHD floppy drive, and below it
a standard Apple 3.5 (800K) and Apple 5.25 (140K) floppy drive.

I have a System Saver IIgs cooling fan/surge surpressor unit,
with an AppleColor RGB on top of that. The standard ADB mouse
and keyboard, and off to the sides a Quickie hand-scanner, a
Mach III joystick, 14.4K USRobotics Sportster modem, and the
Audio Animator external mixer box, which I have MIDI "networked"
with my Pentium through a Roland SCC-1 synthesizer card. For
sound out I use either a pair of Bose Roommate speakers or
unamplified JBL Pro (Compaq monitor) speakers.

Through the printer serial port I have a platinum Macintosh Plus
that is AppleTalk networked with the IIgs (or an ImageWriter II/L,
but not networked). There's also a IIc+ with LCD screen next to
it, not really doing anything with the IIgs at the moment, though
it looks kind of cool. ;)

My second IIgs system consists of:

ROM 01 (256K) motherboard in a plain case

Slot 1: AE Parallel Pro
Slot 2: MDIdeas SuperSonic stereo w/ piggyback digitizer
Slot 3: AE TransWarp GS 8 MHz/8K card [coming this week]
Slot 4: ComputerEyes GS video digitizer
Slot 5: ---
Slot 6: AE PC-Transporter with 768K and 8087 math-co
Slot 7: RamFAST SCSI Rev D/ ROM 3.01e/ 256K cache

Mem Exp: Sequential Systems RAM GS card with 4 MB card

It has a standard Apple 3.5 (800K) and Apple 5.25 (140K) drive,
along with an AMR 3.5 (800K) drive and TransDrive 5.25 (360K)
connected directly to the PC-Transporter. Standard Apple ADB
mouse and keyboard, AppleColor RGB monitor, Apple joystick,
Koss SA/30 mini stereo speakers and a GVC 2400 baud external
modem (I have a Hayes 9600 V-Series to replace it, but need
a HWHS cable to use it). There is also an ImageWriter II with
32K buffer card of to the side.

I don't use this system often, but it obviously requires a
cooling fan (for this reason I pulled a couple of the cards)
and a SCSI hardrive if I can track one down. :) About the
only thing I would like to add to the first system is a
Video Overlay Card (and a real modem for my PC, so I no
longer have to share it with the IIgs. Don't laugh).
