Nice to know I am not the only one in the Montreal area with an Apple II
still working !

I did just that kind of transfer a few years back. If I remember, the only
thing you need is a null modem cable. You connect the serial card of the
Apple IIe to the serial connector of the Mac (You may need an adaptor, but
those are generally supplied with the Mac). Then,you can establish the
communication between the two machines using standard freeware x-modem
software.

I did this of few years ago, so I dont remember all of the details but it
did work pretty well.
