Not all SE and newer keyboards will work. The Apple Design Keyboard
(the one that splits down the middle and can adjust the angle between
the halves) doesn't work. Also, the keyboard used on the iMac won't
work either.

AFAIK, that is true, except for certain Mac keyboards. (There may be
others besides the AppleDesign.)
I don't know about the keyboard for the 20th Anniversary Mac. I haven't
looked at what kind of connection it has. Indeed, I haven't had the
time yet to see one in person.
