With Harmonie, the DeskJet series is essentially "plug and print" on a IIGS.

Harmonie is a set of GS/OS based Printer Drivers that thousands of IIGS 
owners are currently using with lots of different DeskJet models. The 
Harmonie package includes both printer drivers and fast serial port drivers, 
and once installed, you could be printing to that DJ 870c printer, from 
GS/OS, in seconds.

Harmonie costs $20, and that includes postage to anywhere, and is currently
available exclusively from Shareware Solutions II.
