Zip Drive & IIgs
Finally got around to hooking the Zip drive to my trusty Apple IIgs. The
IIgs is a Woz ROM 1, with RamFast SCSI, Rev C and Rom version 3.01e.
When I fire up the computer, I automatically enter the RamFast
Utilities, and it identifies the zip drive. My problem arises when I try
to partition the zip disk. I tried to get three partitions of 32.768k
each. When I select partition, I get the warning that this will erase
everything on the drive, I selsect OK, then get the following message:
RamFast MLI Error
Command: 04-03 85 00 60 05 00 00 00 00
Status: 27
After reading a few other posts, I understand that the Staus 27 is an
I/O error, but why didn't the disk partition? Do I need to format it
first with RamFast? I was told before that all I needed to do was just
partition the IBM formated disks.
Any help would be appreciated.
