Re: A2e and US Robotics Sportster

Peter raised the cup and toasted:

"K<| I'm plannig on connecting an Apple IIe and a US Robotics
    | Sporister 14400 external modem, of course my Apple has a Super
    | Serial card, but I need the software to make them work together,
    | or a manual on how to write a program to transfer information to
    | the serial port and thus to the modem, any ideas? :-)

It can be done, I've done it. (And if anyone wants to buy my USR
Sportster 14.4, drop me a line, I have one to sell... am now using a
generic 28.8 to cruise on my GS.) I had the Sportster on my //e.

Software: buy ProTerm 3.1, it is the greatest.

And when you get that, or whatever program, here's the setup:

  INIT - ATX4&A0&B1&N0&H1&I0&R2S11=50
DIPS - on on off on off off on off

(In ProTerm, you'll be using the "USR HST/HST Dual <RTS/CTS>" driver)
