Re: Asm files on asimov

Going a little OT...

When you guys upload stuff to Asimov, do you bother to send along one
of those asm files as per the template? I notice the template 'last
modified' date is in 1998.

The last time I sent an image, I'm not sure the asm file I included
got used anyway. But by the same token, how do the archivers know
where to put things if you don't include an asm file? Do you ever send
just a note along with an image saying 'it goes here', or explaining
what it is?

.asm files seem to be fossils. A brief, relevant description is
nice, but even that would double the number of files. I'm happy
with a "readme" file within an archive, since most are small and
fast to download.
