Wierd reason? The internet isn't always 8-bit data friendly.
When I just had a freenet access to the internet, sometimes binscii
was the only way I could get stuff. I had limited disk space and
couldn't download larger files to my directory so I ended up just
dumping them to the screen.
Worked great, but it would have been really difficult to do if
it was just a .bxy file.
