If you go to Ewen Wannop's home page, you will find that all his
software is made available on his page as BINscii files as well.
The main reason he did this was so that people using Spectrum Internet
Suite, which only supports a 7 bit connection at present, could access
his web page and still be able to download the software he has made
available there.
I think this is awfully thoughtful of him and he will probably change
to BXY files once SIS gets updated to an 8 bit connection. Keep in
mind that the v1.1 update to SIS that is coming out is not supposed to
support 8 bit connections yet. That won't be until the next update,
from what I hear.
